Youth Sport Trust’s 2012 Conference
8th & 9th February 2012
The International Centre, Telford

2012 will be a momentous year for sport, so come and be inspired by the Youth Sport Trust’s Annual Education Conference.
Bringing together the most exciting and innovative work in PE, school sport and whole school achievement, the conference will showcase the best global practice with world class keynote speakers, national policy updates and the profession’s leading practitioners exciting developments for this year’s conference include a more detailed programme for primary colleagues and those working with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.The conference is a unique opportunity for AMV, offering unrivalled network opportunities and a showcase for product development and innovation. It is also a valuable opportunity for us to interact with schools that are at the forefront of the continual development of PE and sport.

The AMV Playground Solutions site installation team defied the elements on Saturday 4th February to complete works at the Bradford Academy.
The equipment installed comprised of 2 Goal Units, a Transparent Climbing Traverse Wall and a Triple Basketball Post.
Weather permitting we at AMV hope the students will enjoy the action on Monday.

At the end of 2011 AMV completed work in the KS2 playground at Brookfield Park Primary School in Skelmersdale,Lancashire.
The School Playground Equipment installed comprised of a Trim Trail made up of Steel Longlife Components.
All the Outdoor Playground Equipment was set into a Tarmac surface which was covered with Safety Play Surfacing .
The school has previously had Goal Units,Basketball Posts and Activity Panels along with floor markings.
Now in 2012 additional floor markings are being added to the Early Years Playground which is now being
prepared.
The school in conjunction with AMV Playground Solutions are making a big difference to children’s lives.

AMV were able to demonstrate the advantages of controlling their own inhouse capacity.
Billinge Chapel End Primary School & Nursery (www.chapelend.st-helens.sch.uk ) placed an order for an external Canopy to extend the covered outdoor nursery play area.
The school requested that to avoid disruption to school activities that the installation work should be carried out during the Christmas holiday.
The work also included reapairs to the Safety Play Surfacing.
This work is an addition to previous contracts when Goal Units and Outdoor Playground Equipment were installed.

It is always pleasant to receive a ‘thank you’ from a satisfied and appreciative Client.
AMV Playground Solutions received such a message from Miss Fiona Banks at St. Mary’s Catholic Primary and Nursery School in Nottingham.
The original AMV contract with the school was in 2009 when AMV playground equipment consisting of Goal Units,Basketball Posts,Picnic Benches, coloured Safety Play Surfacing and Thermo Plastic Markings were installed.
AMV responded to a call for help to replace the two year old nets on the Basketball Rings.
The following ‘Thank You’ was received as a result of our response.
Dear Mike Maloney,
We have received our replacement nets for the infant playground Basketball Posts. Thank you very much for sending them out to us.
The children love playing Basketball at playtime and are getting better at sharing and taking turns! Each class have their own ball which they look after and it rotates between infant classes who use the nets morning and afternoon.
We appreciate your kindness in offering the nets without charge and look forward to many more happy years using them…

A progressive plan by Tiptree Parish Council has taken a further step when AMV Playgrounds installed the second steel Goal Unit to match the first end which was installed in July 2010.
The attached photograph shows by the surface wear of the ground in fron of the Goal Posts the popularity of the installation.
The Goal Units have been constructed with additional strengthening brackets to withstand any risk of damage by vandals.
A further news item on the work of the council will follow in December, when a Shelter is to be installed.

AMV are priviliged to be part of a team which is providing all children in its care with a wonderful start in life.
Visiting www.stsilasschool.co.uk sets out the ethos of the St. Silas School which AMV Playgrounds fully supports.
The company contribution started in May 2004 when Multi Activity Goal Units along with Metal
Fencing and surface markings were installed.
The School Playground Equipment installed by AMV has been steadily progressed over the 7 year period and includes
Picnic Benches and an Outdoor Table Tennis Table along with an eight sided Shelter.
Along with the equipment for ball games Activity Panels and Planters have complimented the quieter aspects of the School Playground Equipment.
The latest project emphasises the almost unique one stop British made service provided by AMV Playground Solutions in the design, manufacture and installation of a 15M x 7.6M Canopy with safety play surfacing and protective wooden Fencing.
The tailor made service to match the school’s plans for facilities and Outdoor Playground Equipment cannot be surpassed.

At many of our school site meetings it is apparent that the AMV playground equipment product range illustrated in our catalogue, often triggers fresh and imaginative thinking from our school teacher clients.
Our portfolio of options has steadily grown as a result of this occurring and obviously all schools benefit from any good ideas.
A demonstration of how this works is shown on the two photographs of Trim Trail equipment where our original design of a double scramble net was installed at Our Lady and St Edwards Primary School in Nottingham and the second photograph shows the variation with one scramble net and an adaptation of Traverse Wall hand and foot holds, which was requested by Mr. Cummins at Ashton West End Primary School in Ashton – under – Lyne.

Clients searching to solve one problem maybe fortunate when the provider of the solution can also solve another.
AMV Playground Solutions have grown steadily into a ‘one stop’ shop operation linking their varied experience of design, manufacture and installation of fabricated metalwork.
Enquiries for Canopies and Shelters call for structural steelwork expertise, Fencing and Railings link with architectural demands,which supports the company’s School Playground Equipment provision.AMV linked with Tortworth Primary School in just such a way.
In their search for Play Equipment on the internet they were delighted to find that their Fencing problem could also be solved.
The school needed to resolve a safety hazard which was created because there was no demarkation between pedestrian

and vehicle access. This problem had been clearly identified in the school risk assessment exercise. The provision of a new run of Fencing was deemed to be necessary and the attached photographs show a before and after situation, with which the school are delighted.
